Young Receives Caring Kind AwardDate: Thursday, November 5, 2015
For 36 years, the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) has paid tribute to the state's most compassionate hospital workers with the Caring Kind award. This prestigious award honors outstanding health care employees who have demonstrated compassion for patients, cooperation with co-workers and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities.
Each year, hospitals across Nebraska select one Caring Kind recipient from within their respective institutions to be recognized. This year, Lexington Regional Health Center (LRHC) selected Ann Young, nurse practitioner, to receive the award.
Young has been working in the Urgent/Primary Care department since 2011. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has been practicing medicine for 15 years. Young is currently pursuing a degree in mental health and will complete her program in December.
"Ann's dedication and commitment to Lexington Regional Health Center and the community is evident in everything she does. She is a self-starter, conscientious, caring and passionate about delivering high-quality care," said Leslie Marsh, chief executive officer, at LRHC. "Ann goes above and beyond for each patient, fellow employees and their families."
Young received her Caring Kind award during the NHA Annual Convention, held Friday, October 23 in LaVista, Neb.
