The prestigious American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) State Award for Excellence, comprised of two separate awards, is granted annually to deserving nurse practitioners (NPs) and NP advocates. Maria Reyes awarded Community Health Worker Making a Difference Award

DHHS Program Manager Kathy Karsting awarded Maria Reyes, a Community Health Worker at the Lexington Regional Health Center with the “CHW Making a Difference Award” on Tuesday, December 7. Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccinations

Lexington Regional Health Center will be having another COVID-19 vaccination clinic for all children ages 5 to 11 years old on Sunday, November 28th from 3:00-4:00pm. Pfizer was recently granted Emergency Use Authorization of their pediatric dosage COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 years old. The dosage for this age group is 10 mcg versus a 30 mcg dosage for ages 12 and older, including adults. This dose is 1/3 of the dose authorized under Emergency Use for
