Walk This Weigh – English Session

Walk this Weigh is a National Diabetes Prevention Program recognized by Centers for Disease Control as a proven lifestyle change program. A healthy lifestyle program can help you reduce your risk for developing type 2 diabetes. You can change your life in one year. Take the first step today!

Why participate in the Walk this Weigh Program?Through group sessions in the Walk this Weigh program, you will work with Lacey Zarek,Certified Lifestyle Coach and Registered Dietitian, and other participants to learn how to make lasting, healthier lifestyle changes. The sessions focus on:
– Healthy eating
– Physical activity
-Weight loss
– Stress reduction and coping skills
– Lifestyle change

Who can participate in the Walk this Weigh Program? To be eligible, you must:
– be 18 years of age or older
– have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 24
– have documented pre-diabetes by blood test or
have been told by a doctor that you are at risk of
developing type 2 diabetes
