Childbirth Classes
Childbirth classes are available quarterly and can be completed in just a few hours. Our knowledgeable team is able to answer your questions and assist you in making the best decisions for you and your baby. Pregnancy, labor, delivery and newborn care are some of the topics covered. We recommend scheduling your class during your second trimester.
Breastfeeding Classes
We want to help educate you about breastfeeding and answer any questions you may have. Prenatal breastfeeding classes are available to all patients planning on delivering at Lexington Regional Health Center.
Lactation Services
During your hospital stay, lactation services are available to help with breastfeeding after delivery. An on-staff board certified lactation consultant will help with feeding, positioning, latching, pumping, weaning, and transitioning to a bottle. If further consultation is needed in the months after birth, a referral from your provider may be necessary.
Car Seat Checks
We offer car seat installation checks and installation education. Our nursing staff are able to inspect your child’s car seat for any recalls or defects. Our team can also show you how to properly install the car seat or verify that you have it installed correctly. Please remember to bring your car seat and base with you when you deliver.
Spanish and Somali services are available upon request.
