Lexington Regional Health Center received 200 doses of the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine on the week of 12/21/2020. We are following the State of Nebraska and Two Rivers Public Health Departments Plan outlining their recommendations as to who should receive the vaccine in Phase 1A of vaccine distribution. LRHC is pleased to be able to work with the state and local public health department to bring more widespread testing to the community. While we at Lexington Regional Health Center have only had one patient hospitalized since our surge occurred into the first week of May, we are seeing a steady increase in positive case rates as more testing occurs. As we reach the end of the month I wanted to provide an update on our activity at the hospital. To date, we have had 42 admissions to the hospital, including 24 transfers since April 11. This overall hospital activity would suggest that, during this time frame, the total positive case rate for our hospital district is/was representative of 850 infected individuals. While we do still transfer out the sickest patients to area hospitals, the transfers are decreasing while the discharges back to home are increasing – YAY!! Our first baby of 2020 has arrived! Adrian Martin Novoa was born on January 2nd at 6:59am. Adrian was born to parents Veronica and Martin Novoa and sister Rayleen. Baby Adrian celebrated his birth with a cake bigger than him, a diaper cake that is. 🙂 Congratulations Novoa family and thank you for choosing LRHC for your care!
