Leigh-Anne Lehmann Receives 2026 Caring Kind Award
Lexington Regional Health Center (LRHC) is proud to announce that Leigh-Anne Lehmann, PA-C, has been selected as the organization’s 2026 Caring Kind Award recipient, recognizing her outstanding compassion, service excellence, teamwork, and dedication to patients and colleagues.
Presented annually by the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA), The Caring Kind Award honors health care professionals who go above and beyond in serving their patients, coworkers, organizations, and communities. Each NHA member hospital and health system is invited to nominate one employee who exemplifies caring, compassion, teamwork, and service excellence in their daily work.
For nearly five decades, The Caring Kind Awards have celebrated Nebraska health care workers who make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve. This year marks the 47th year of the NHA’s Caring Kind Awards program.
Since joining LRHC, Lehmann has made a lasting impact through her unwavering commitment to patient care and her willingness to support others.
In her nomination, colleagues described Lehmann as someone who “treats everyone she encounters with genuine warmth, respect, and compassion” and noted her exceptional flexibility, positive attitude, and dedication to helping wherever she is needed.
“Leigh-Anne embodies the type of compassionate care we strive to provide every day at Lexington Regional Health Center,” said Dana Steiner, Chief Population Health & Quality Officer. “Leigh-Anne consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her patients feel heard, valued, and cared for. Her kindness, professionalism, and commitment to excellence make her incredibly deserving of this recognition.”
Known for her strong work ethic and collaborative spirit, Lehmann continually seeks opportunities to grow her practice and provide the highest quality care to her patients. Colleagues praise her ability to make people feel welcomed and supported, whether she is caring for a patient, assisting a coworker, or stepping in to help meet the needs of the organization.
“I am truly honored to receive this recognition,” said Leigh-Anne Lehmann, PA-C. “Providing compassionate care and building meaningful relationships with patients is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I’m grateful to be part of a team that shares a commitment to serving others, and I’m fortunate to work alongside colleagues who support one another and put patients first every day.”
Lehmann will be recognized alongside other Caring Kind Award recipients from across the state during the annual Caring Kind Awards Luncheon on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Nebraska Hospital Association Annual Convention.
“Leigh-Anne’s compassion, teamwork, and dedication are evident in every interaction,” Steiner added. “She reflects the values of LRHC and the spirit of The Caring Kind Award. We are proud to celebrate her and grateful for the difference she makes in the lives of our patients, coworkers, and community.”
