Lexington Regional Health Center and Heartland Chevrolet Celebrate Record-Breaking “A Time for Giving” Drive

A Time for Giving

Lexington, NE — December 22, 2025 — Lexington Regional Health Center (LRHC) is proud to announce that this year’s A Time for Giving clothes and food drive was the most successful in its three-year history. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Lexington community and the hard work of LRHC staff, more donations were collected than ever before.

For the third consecutive year, LRHC partnered with Heartland Chevrolet to make a meaningful difference for families in need. Donations were distributed to four local organizations:

  • Sheltering Hands (formerly Parent-Child Center)
  • Dawson County Family Partners DBA Heartland Family Partners
  • Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska
  • Mission Avenue – Lexington

“This community never ceases to amaze us,” said Brenna Bartruff, Chief Communications Officer at Lexington Regional Health Center. “The compassion and generosity shown during this drive reflect what makes Lexington so special. Together, we are helping families when they need it most.”

Heartland Chevrolet echoed the sentiment: “Partnering with LRHC for A Time for Giving is one of the highlights of our year,” said Darin Messersmith. “Seeing the community come together to support neighbors in need is what the holiday season is all about.”

LRHC extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated to make this year’s drive a success. Together, Lexington is proving that community strength and kindness can make a real impact.
