Lexington Regional Health Center Honored with Governor’s Wellness Award
Lexington Regional Health Center (LRHC) is proud to announce it has received the Governor’s Wellness Award – Grower Level, recognizing the organization’s outstanding commitment to employee health and wellness.
Presented by the State of Nebraska, the Grower Award celebrates workplaces that have demonstrated measurable progress in building a culture of wellness. LRHC was selected for its innovative wellness initiatives, increased employee participation, and leadership-driven efforts to promote healthier lifestyles.
“We are honored to receive the Governor’s Wellness Award,” said Brenna Bartruff. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire team and the impact our wellness programs have had on our workplace culture.”
“It has been really fun to see the staff be so engaged with our wellness program,” said Kristina Peterson. “Lots of questions are asked, and it’s been exciting to watch the program grow over the years.”
The award was presented during a special ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol on September 23rd. Representing LRHC were Brenna Bartruff and Kristina Peterson, co-chairs of the LRHC Wellness Council, who have played a pivotal role in leading and expanding the organization’s wellness efforts.
Photos from the ceremony will be shared on LRHC’s website and social media channels. The Governor’s Wellness Award is valid for three years, and LRHC looks forward to continuing its wellness journey and reapplying in 2026.
