Lexington Regional Health Center Adds Women's Health Specialist


LEXINGTON, NE - Lexington Regional Health Center is pleased to announce the addition of Julie Thies, WHNP-BC, to Family Medicine Specialists Clinic. Thies was born in Lexington and grew up in Arapahoe. She attended the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She then received her Master of Science in Nursing, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2014, as an accredited Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Thies is board certified in Women's Health through the National Certification Corporation.

Thies has previous experience working in a family practice facility in Ironwood, Michigan. In this position she saw obstetric and gynecological patients. She also has clinical experience in the Kansas City area. "I love developing relationships with my patients because there are so many changes throughout a woman's lifetime. I enjoy helping women through the joys and concerns of puberty through menopause," Thies said. Outside of work, Thies enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dogs. She also likes cooking and trying new recipes.

Julie is accepting new patients Wednesdays through Fridays at Family Medicine Specialists Clinic in Lexington. Specializing in women, Thies can be seen for annual exams, family planning and birth control, obstetric care, infertility, menstrual problems and menopause.
