Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccinations

Lexington Regional Health Center will be having another COVID-19 vaccination clinic for all children ages 5 to 11 years old on Sunday, November 28th from 3:00-4:00pm. Pfizer was recently granted Emergency Use Authorization of their pediatric dosage COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 years old. The dosage for this age group is 10 mcg versus a 30 mcg dosage for ages 12 and older, including adults. This dose is 1/3 of the dose authorized under Emergency Use for adults. Pfizer Covid-19 pediatric vaccination consists of 2 doses given 3 weeks apart. If your child receives their first dose on Sunday, November 28th Lexington Regional Health Center will give them their second dose on Sunday, December 19th.
